4 phases of International Data Quality
The Bisnode Interact Data Quality process consists of four phases. It’s a pan-European, multi-country service that is offered whether the Data solution is installed in-house or not.
Phase 1: Data Input
This is the phase of the file registration or input. A specific treatment can be applied, including the formatting and coding.
Phase 2: Data Normalisation & Enrichment
Correct addresses avoid costly incorrect deliveries, do not unnecessarily weigh on your marketing budget and reinforce your company’s image. Correctly spelled names, surnames and gender codes give your company possibilities for smart personalisation techniques. Therefore some important questions are tackled in this phase of Data Normalisation: Are my addresses and e-mail addresses complete and correct? What is the quality of names and surnames in my database? And what about gender codes? If there are missing variables such as postal code, they will be added: this is called Data Enrichment. This process is completely treated at Bisnode Interact, and we have an extensive expertise in 16 Western-European countries.
Phase 3: Data Cleansing
This process is about identifying movers, and about removing deceased consumers, or consumers who indicated in the Robinson list that they do not wish to receive marketing communications. Each address is directly linked to your selling potential. So if your consumer moves and you don’t know it, you lose some of your precious consumer capital. Because each year on average 10% of the population moves, Bisnode Interact keeps your data clean and up-to-date at any time.
Phase 4: Data De-duplication & Matching
As soon as your addresses are normalised, enriched and cleaned, it’s easy to detect if consumers are living at the same address and are therefore part of the same household. This is essential information to reduce your operational costs and give every consumer their correct consumer value and attribution of purchased products. That is a big challenge, for people move, get married or break up and get children and pets. And they usually have multiple email addresses and (mobile) phone numbers too.
